The Lotti Latrous Foundation is committed, with heart and humanity, to supporting the poorest of the poor. Established in 2004 as a charitable foundation based in Zurich, it was created to provide long-term support and guidance for projects in Sub-Saharan Africa.
At the centre of our work are people who are ill or dying, and their children – particularly those affected by HIV/AIDS. In large parts of West Africa, many people have little or no access to healthcare or social services. This is where our foundation provides targeted assistance: through medical care, social support, outpatient services, and initiatives that promote sustainable prospects for local livelihoods.
Our foundation is rooted in the lifelong commitment of Lotti Latrous, who consciously left her privileged life behind in order to save lives, offer hope and preserve dignity in the slums of Abidjan and later in Grand-Bassam, Côte d’Ivoire.
The foundation operates independently and on a non-profit basis, funding its work exclusively through donations – every contribution helps us to act directly where help is most urgently needed.
Together with dedicated local teams and a strong network of supporters, we strive to ensure that humanity, hope and dignity are not merely words, but values that are lived every single day.
